Throughout the past quarter, you have been discussing the process of writing and your identity as a writer. For this last blog post, I want you to discuss who you believe you are as a writer. You have to do this in a non-traditional post way in that you are not merely responding to questions nor are you just adding images/reflection.
Think about how you could represent the characteristics that define you as a writer that you have developed and honed this quarter (and those that you came in with).
Some suggestions for ways to create this:
*A job wanted ad or a personal
*A poem
*an obit (an obituary)
*a short short (short fiction piece)
*a song
*etc., etc.
*etc., etc.
The possibilities are very open.
This should be as long as it needs to be to get your point across. I should see elements of you----so I should be able to get a sense of who wrote what without even looking at the author's name. Please feel free to create a new post in order to help you do this.

Student and beloved son Geoffrey Alexander has died, he was 17 years old.
ReplyDeleteGeoffrey was a boy who was too young to die but never the less had a full life. He always thought you should see it his way, but could admit defeat if he needed. For most of his life he went to school, he never made an enemy out of anyone and always tried to be outgoing. Perhaps what will be missed most about Geoffrey was his ability to see what was expected and adapt accordingly, this made his habit of trying to convince people to see it his way more feasible. One time I remember he tried to convince me to order seafood of the menu, I don't like seafood but his argument seemed suited towards me, I liked what he said so much I ordered it anyway. A silly story to remember in the wake of death, but one that exemplifies what we will miss about the dead.
When many years have passed one by,
ReplyDeleteit's easy to discern,
That one shouldn't waste time,
but do everything to learn.
And find a joy that's very real in
knowledge they have found.
It's you who have the most to lose,
who have the most to gain.
Learn now while you have the chance,
give each task your best;
It can mean the difference
between failure and success.
